CCA Network Cable?

CCA stands for Copper-Clad Aluminum. CCA wires use aluminum conductors coated with copper. This process reduces manufacturing costs, allowing for higher profits during sales.

COPPER Network Cable?

Refers to pure copper network cables. The performance of CCA network cables (CAT5e and CAT6) is significantly inferior to that of COPPER network cables for the following reasons:

Aluminum and steel have higher resistance than copper.
CCA network cables experience much higher attenuation compared to COPPER CAT5e or CAT6 network cables.
Aluminum has lower tensile strength than copper.
Although many importers offer large quantities of CCA wire (CAT5e / Cat6), there is no documentation to prove that they won’t encounter the above issues in the future.

What is AWG?

Since 1857, the American Wire Gauge (AWG), also known as the Brown & Sharpe Gauge, has been used for solid round conductors. AWG determines both resistance and current-carrying capacity. Cat5 and Cat6 cables, as well as many other cables, typically print specifications on the outer sheath. Cat5e cables are usually 24 AWG, and ATA data cables are typically 26 AWG.
