Product Warranty Instructions

Product warranty services apply to the following parties

  • The warranty service is limited to Taiwan (Taipei, Kinmen, Matsu, and the surrounding areas).
  • The company reserves the right to modify the product warranty terms. Any changes to the warranty service content will be announced on the company's website, and no separate notice will be provided.
  • For matters not specified, the Consumer Protection Act of the Republic of China will apply.

Product Warranty Period Determination

  • During the warranty period, customers reporting product failures must provide relevant warranty proof for efficient processing. The warranty period determination method is as follows:
  • The product warranty period is determined based on the "Product Service Warranty Card" or the warranty period specified on the company's official website.
  • The product warranty period begins from the purchase date indicated on the "Product Service Warranty Card." To protect consumer rights, it is essential that the dealer fills in the purchase date on the warranty card and stamps it with the store seal. If the purchase date is not provided, the company will use the product serial number to determine the start date of the warranty period.
  • If the "Product Service Warranty Card" with the purchase date is unavailable, a valid invoice (original or copy) issued by the dealer or a purchase certificate provided by the dealer can be used as proof of the purchase date.
  • If the Product Service Warranty Card is lost after purchasing the product, it will not be reissued.
  • The warranty period stated on the Product Service Warranty Card applies only to the product itself. The warranty period for accessories included in the product packaging (such as transformers and remote controls) is three months, while the warranty period for cables is one month. The warranty for any included promotional items is subject to the original brand's warranty terms, and our company does not provide extended warranty services for them.
  • The product software services and hardware (main unit) are covered by a one-year warranty.

Products shipped as part of a project are subject to the warranty agreement specified in the project contract and are not covered by this warranty service scope.

Out of product warranty coverage.

  • The following situations fall outside the product warranty scope. However, in the interest of serving our customers, the company will still provide repair services, but may charge for parts and service fees at its discretion.
  • If the product is missing the warranty serial number sticker, or if the sticker has been altered, reattached, or damaged to the point of being unrecognizable, it will be considered as the customer voluntarily forfeiting the product warranty, thus losing warranty rights.
  • Product failures and damages caused by improper use, unauthorized disassembly or modification of specifications, or the use of non-original parts not authorized by the company, will be deemed as human-caused damage upon assessment.
  • Product failures due to being used as test instruments or test fixtures, resulting in issues such as slot detachment, damage, abnormal wear of the connectors (gold fingers), or functional abnormalities, will not be covered under warranty.
  • Any services or additional configurations promised by the distributor or dealer that are not within the scope of the company's warranty will be the responsibility of the distributor or dealer to handle.
  • Damage caused by external factors or natural disasters such as floods, fires, earthquakes, lightning, typhoons, accidents, power failures, or other irresistible forces.
  • Damage caused by moisture exposure leading to severe oxidation and corrosion of electronic components.
  • Faults caused during installation, movement, or transportation (without proper packaging).
  • Faults arising from software operations, system issues, or computer viruses, which are not caused by the product itself.
  • Damage or malfunction caused by the use of consumables (peripherals) that are not supported by the product specifications.
  • Other cases determined by the company's engineers as abnormal usage.

Product Return and Exchange Policy

  • New Product Return Policy: The return policy is based on the product evaluation principles provided by the dealer or virtual platform (online shopping/TV shopping) from which the product was purchased.
  • New Product Exchange Policy: If a new product needs to be exchanged due to defects, it must meet all of the following conditions. If the conditions are not met, the company will handle the issue through repair.
  • If the product experiences a functional defect (due to factors not covered by the warranty) within the new product exchange period and is not caused by human error, the customer may send the product along with the invoice and warranty card (with the retailer's stamp and purchase date) and all complete product accessories to the company's service department, either directly or through the original retailer. The company's service department staff will assess the product, and if it is confirmed to be functionally defective, the company will exchange the product for the customer with the same item.
  • After purchasing the product, the user must check and confirm within the product appreciation period provided by the retailer that the accessories listed in the product box or user manual match the contents of the product. If any accessories are missing or mismatched, please contact the original retailer for an exchange. If there are missing accessories when requesting a return or exchange, the product return and exchange policy will not apply. Users are advised to pay special attention to this matter in order to protect their rights.
  • For a new product exchange, the product must be free from any damage (such as scratches) and all accessories must be complete. The product must be returned in its original packaging, and the request for a new exchange must be made within the product's new product faulty replacement period.
  • Product repairs will be handled with either a good-condition replacement of the same product or by replacing faulty parts. However, for products that are not owned by the company but are agency products, the warranty conditions provided by the original manufacturer will apply.

Repair Service Fees

  • If the product is within the warranty period and meets the warranty coverage criteria, no repair fee will be charged.

PRIVACY POLICY

"UPMOST TECHNOLOGY CORP." (hereinafter referred to as UPMOST) has always respected and made efforts to protect users' privacy. However, due to the unique nature of the Internet, UPMOST will interact with users. The following is the statement on the methods by which UPMOST collects user personal information through various means, how this information is used, and how users' online privacy is protected (hereinafter referred to as this statement). In order to ensure the protection of users' personal data and rights, the following notification is provided in accordance with Article 8 of the Personal Data Protection Act before any data collection:

    The types of personal data collected on the "UPMOST" website include C001 Identifiers, C011 Personal Descriptions, and C003 Identifiers in Government Data.

  • 3. Tracking Data and Cookie

    The UPMOST website management system will record your IP address, browser type, webpage browsing time, and other tracking data. This data will be stored in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.
    The purpose of collecting and analyzing user data on the UPMOST website is to understand users' browsing needs and analyze web traffic, which serves as a reference for improving content and system operations. To achieve this and provide users with a more user-friendly service, UPMOST will use cookies to automatically record the pages visited by users and the domain name they are located in. A cookie is a small piece of data sent from a web server to the browser and stored on the computer's hard drive.
    Generally, cookies are used to:
    1. Estimate the total number of visitors and analyze web traffic; this aggregated and processed traffic data will be provided to online advertisers as a basis for evaluating the effectiveness of advertisements.
    2. Track your progress and frequency when participating in promotions, giveaways, and contests. When UPMOST organizes promotional activities using cookies, the data written into the cookies will be used to indicate the participant's progress throughout the entire promotion process and can be used to track participation, submissions, and other related actions in lottery activities.
    3. Measure browsing patterns, such as the pages visited on the UPMOST website and the accumulated traffic. UPMOST uses this data to understand user habits and preferences, in order to provide more up-to-date information (including advertisements and promotions) and offer more user-friendly services.
    4. Users can configure their browser settings to be notified when a cookie is set or to reject the setting of cookies.

  • 4. How does UPMOST use my data?

    1. The primary purpose of UPMOST collecting personal data is for reference use in activities, including information services, newsletter services, personalized services, consumer discount services, interactive communication, and many other types of services. Personal data will be retained during the operation of the UPMOST website. By understanding the users, UPMOST will provide better content and more user-friendly services.
    2. The personal data provided by users will be used by UPMOST to periodically or occasionally send activity and information service updates through email, phone, and other media. Users have the right to decide whether they wish to participate in the activities offered by UPMOST.     (1) Request to inquire or view your data.
    (2) Request to obtain a copy of the data.

    (5) Request deletion.
    However, if exercising the above rights results in a reduction of your benefits from UPMOST's electronic newsletter services, UPMOST will not be liable for compensation. Additionally, in accordance with Article 14 of the Personal Data Protection Act, the company may charge administrative fees.
    6. If the personal data you provided is reported and the company finds it insufficient to verify your identity, or if there are cases of identity theft, misuse, or incorrect data, or if requested by the competent authorities or email server management entities/institutions, the company reserves the right to temporarily suspend the delivery service to your associated email account.
    7. The duration of UPMOST's use of your personal data: From the time you apply for newsletter subscription, until two years after the cessation of this service. The company may not provide further notice when this service is discontinued.
    8. You acknowledge that this consent form complies with the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Act and relevant regulations, and you agree that the company may retain this consent form. The use of email responses will be regarded as a written reply, and the company will act according to your expressed intention to either provide or stop UPMOST's newsletter-related services.
    9. The intellectual property rights, copyrights, and other rights related to the content of the UPMOST newsletter are protected by applicable laws and regulations.
    10. You have the right to request the use, correction, supplementation, deletion, or blocking of your personal data, or to object to the use of your personal data for direct marketing or to receive specific or various marketing materials.
