What is an "Extender"?
An "extender" is a device used when your audio-video signals/cables need to be extended. Using a signal extender is often the best choice as it is also referred to as an "active extension cable." Extenders generally have built-in signal amplification chips to reduce the degradation caused by extended signal transmission. Common extenders include VGA/D-SUB extenders, HDMI extenders, USB extenders (USB 2.0/3.0), KVM extenders, and more.

The C505 is an HDMI signal extender consisting of a transmitter and a receiver, connected via a Cat.5e/Cat.6 UTP cable to transmit HDMI audio-video signals. It supports 4K2K resolution and can extend the transmission distance up to 70 meters.

Note: The quality and specifications of the network cable affect the transmission bandwidth and distance. It is recommended to use interference-resistant Cat6 FTP/STP cables (shielded twisted pair with aluminum foil shielding) for optimal performance.

Installation Instructions

Connect the HDMI playback device to the "IN" port of the C505T using an HDMI cable.
Connect a CAT.5e/6/7 network cable to the RJ-45 ports of both the C505T and C505R.
Connect the "OUT" port of the C505R to the HDMI display device using an HDMI cable.
Plug in the power adapters (on both T and R units). When the ON indicator stays solid green and the LINK indicator stays solid blue, HDMI signals can be transmitted.

※To extend IR remote control signals, connect the IR Cable to both C505T and C505R, and set the Tx/Rx mode:

When connecting the IR Receiver Cable, set to Tx to receive remote control signals.

When connecting the IR Emitter Cable, set to Rx to transmit remote control signals to the device.
