What is Video Capture?
Video capture refers to recording both video and audio into a digital format file. Video capture devices are divided into software compression (soft compression) and hardware compression (hard compression). The difference lies in that soft compression relies entirely on the computer's CPU for processing, while hard compression uses built-in core chips to handle the processing, significantly reducing CPU usage and improving capture performance. Desktop computers can use software compression capture cards, while laptops can pair with USB-interface software compression capture devices. For standalone operation without a computer, hardware compression standalone recording products are an option.
